Writing to Heal
$120.00
Something painful happened—and no matter how hard you try, you can’t quite find your way through. Maybe it’s the ache of divorce, the weight of caring for someone through chronic illness (or navigating it yourself), the heartbreak of a struggling child, the grief of losing someone you love, or the sting of betrayal. When life feels this chaotic, healing can seem out of reach.
You don’t have to walk through it alone.
Restoried’s 6-week guided writing group offers a gentle, structured, safe space to explore what’s hurting and begin to make sense of your story. In a safe, small-group environment, you’ll be invited to engage with simple, accessible writing practices—no prior writing experience needed. Together, we’ll use forms like haiku, free verse, blackout poetry, acrostics, affirmation writing, expressive writing, and biblical lament to help you process, reflect, and reconnect.
This isn’t about writing perfectly—it’s about writing honestly.
Research consistently shows that writing can be a powerful tool for healing. It helps us process complex emotions, reduce stress, and make meaning out of painful experiences. Over time, it can foster a greater sense of well-being, ease symptoms of depression, and uncover inner strength, wisdom, and resilience. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, this group offers a compassionate path toward healing—one word at a time.
All sessions will be held in Hellertown, PA. Location provided upon registration.
Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm from April 29th -June 3rd
