Your place or ours? Restoried offers retreats in a suitable setting
of your choice or one of our locations.

Solace Retreats

These small group retreats are designed for small groups of 8-10 people who share traumatic, grief-oriented, or other experiences. These intimate gatherings allow for deep personal and group processing. Reflecting together upon what is revealed throughout the retreat helps reduce feelings of isolation and provides safe space to explore and express emotions.

Group Retreats

Our large group retreat experiences provide participants with fresh experiences designed to support the chosen content of the host. We value times of silent and small group processing to dive deeper. Contact us to discuss your needs and we will design an event especially curated for you.

We are also available to provide a variety of compatible break out topics for a retreat that your organization designs.

Silence

In our chaotic world full of distraction and clatter, we value pockets of silence throughout our retreats as time to process what God may be revealing to you as you explore your experience differently.

Retreat Experiences

Each retreat focus area will be infused with several experiences designed to process emotional challenges and promote rest. This applies to large scale and smaller scale Solace retreats.

Processing emotional challenges can be difficult and often slow. Engagement in alternative experiences can speed healing and allows greater depth of non-verbal expression, heightening the mind, body, spirit connection.

Each retreat topic will be infused with several experiences designed to process emotional challenges and promote rest. The topic areas apply to both large scale and smaller scale Solace retreats. As God made us mind, body, and Spirit, we endeavor to engage all three to provide refreshment and renewal.

ART

ART

Processing difficult emotions through art supports mental health in a variety of ways. Art engagement offers a way of communication of feelings when words cannot be found. Emotions and the processing of trauma can be uniquely expressed. The creative act boosts self-esteem, reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and fosters resilience, improved coping skills, and self-awareness.  Imaginative expression generates feelings of empowerment.

DANCE/MOVEMENT

DANCE/MOVEMENT

This holistic approach supports clients through emotional processing non-verbally. Dance/movement enables participants to process pain and trauma stored in the body. Emotions are explored and expressed allowing for improved relational interactions and personal growth.

POETRY

POETRY

Words matter. Whether expressing joy or pain, poetry allows us to release and  reframe feelings. We can unveil our vulnerability and forge deeper connections with others. Participants engage in multiple forms of accessible poetry styles.

NATURE

NATURE

Let’s face it. When was the last time you were outside and paid attention to the beauty around you? Our nature experiences integrate time outdoors while focusing on reflection, scripture and prayer. Your whole person – body, mind, and spirit -benefit.  Anxiety and stress are reduced. Spiritual connection, mood, coping skills, self-awareness, and cognitive function improve as well.

JOURNALING

JOURNALING

The practice of keeping an account of life experiences allows us to look back, creating catharsis. This form of self-care facilitates stress reduction and enhances emotional regulation. Participants process emotions and are better able to cope with stress.

SILENCE

SILENCE

We value this time for solo processing of the emotions that arise through participation in our retreat experiences.

GROUPS

GROUPS

Restoried values our call to Christian community and the bearing of one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) through times of group sharing and encouragement.

MEDITATION

MEDITATION

Christian meditation fosters a closer relationship with God and a more acute awareness of the Spirit’s guidance.  Peace and calm are enhanced. Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Breath Prayer, Visio Divina, Mindfulness, and other spiritual practices cultivate new spiritual ground for participants.

At times, individuals may recognize a need for deeper or more specialized support. Restoried is designed to come alongside those who are hurting by offering healing experiences through a range of proven alternative methods—such as art, music, writing, and embodied practices—that are not always available within traditional individual counseling. These offerings are facilitated through weekly groups, as well as small and large-group retreats, providing a communal and experiential context for reflection and restoration.

For those seeking individualized therapeutic care—whether one-on-one or in small group settings—where trauma, pain, and longstanding patterns can be explored more deeply over time, we invite you to visit Bread & Sword Counseling, Molly’s private counseling practice. This setting is intended for clients desiring a more focused, ongoing therapeutic relationship to support meaningful and lasting change.
