What does restoration look like in a chaotic world? And what does it mean to move toward the hurting within that context, to provide solace and healing?

These are questions I ask myself now, but as one who lived through decades of trauma, all I knew then was that I needed deeper rest and time to process and heal in an atmosphere of safety. I benefited greatly from individual counseling, but yearned for something comforting and soul-nourishing to move me toward my next steps. I just couldn’t find it.
